Herbal Simple Syrup
Pretty simple (ha ha), but a fun way to add a little something to cocktails.
Ingredients
- 1 cup filtered water
- 1 cup sugar (white sugar works fine, but you can use fancier sugars too)
- Choice of herbs (I like rosemary and mint)
Directions
- Wash herbs
- Bring water to a simmer. Add herbs and sugar, stirring to help the sugar dissolve.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then turn off the heat and let sit for 15-20 minutes.
- Make sure the mixture has cooled. Strain the herbs from the mixture, and pour the remaining syrup into a bottle or jar.
- Keep refrigerated
